文化交流会追加事項


CLOTHES CLOSET - a social ministry of First Baptist Church providing good used clothing to needy people in our community. If you have clothes that your children have outgrown or men and ladies clothes that you no longer want, you may donate them to this ministry. One can show you where to leave them on the first floor. Volunteers are needed to help sort and organize the clothing. Several Japanese ladies work as volunteers a few hours a week.

クロースクローゼットー交流会会場の第一バプテスト教会では、地域の方のために 状態の良い古着を提供しています。お子さんの着られなくなっ た洋服や必要のなくなった大人物の衣類を寄付することもでき ます。衣類の仕分けや整理のボランティアも募集しています。

HELPFUL INFORMATION - Look in "The Real Yellow Pages" from Bell South which you should have received when your telephone was connected. Pages 5 - 7 provide helpful information for newcomers. Beginning on page 8 is a list of attractions and special events.
Following are some attractions within walking distance of the church. Parking is not usually a problem on weekends when government offices are closed and you are allowed to park in t he government lots.

JAPANESE-AMERICAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE

日米文化交流会: ORGANIZED 1982

The purpose of this organization is to establish friendships between Japanese and American ladies as we learn about each others culture.

日米文化交流会は日本人とアメリカ人がお互いの文化を学びながら友情を築いて行こうという趣旨で続けられています。

As Japanese companies began operations in the Research Triangle Park, sending employees and their families to the triangle area to live for several years, a member of First Baptist Church proposed the establishment of this organization. Since 1982 hundreds of ladies have participated in these meetings. We have approximately 16 meetings a year from September through April.

リサーチトライアングルパークに日本企業が進出し始め、日本人家族がこの地域に派遣されるようになって数年経ったころ、第一バプテスト教会のとある会員が交流会を作ることを提案しました。1982年以来多くの方たちが交流会に参加されています。毎年9月から4月にかけて16回前後のプログラムを行っています。

■PARKING LOT - entrance from Hillsboro Street or Edenton Street Parking is FREE however you should park in the center section between the WHITE lines. Yellow spaces are reserved paid parking for downtown workers. If center section is full, park in yellow space and get a parking pass when you enter the church to put in box at Hillsborough entrance. See a coordinator or go to church office on second floor if you have a problem.

■駐車場― ヒルズボローストリート叉はイーデントンストリートから入る 駐車場の白いラインのスペースは無料ですが 黄色いラインのス ペースはダウンタウンで働く人たちのための駐車スペースとな っているため有料です。もし白いラインのスペースがいっぱい だった時は黄色いラインのスペースに停め、教会建物の入り口 付近にあるパーキングパスを取り、ヒルズボローからの入り口 にある箱に入れてください。分らない場合はコーディネーター か2階の教会事務所でお聞きください。

In the case of inclement weather the policy is to cancel our meeting if the Wake County Schools are closed or delayed. School closing and delayed are announced by the radio and TV stations.
A registration form is included in this booklet. Please bring it with you when you come to your first program. We will welcome any of your friends who wish to attend the program with you.

悪天候でウエイクカウンティの公立学校が休校叉は授業開始が遅れた場合は、ミーティングを中止します。公立学校の休校などは、地元のラジオまたは
テレビで報道されます。
